These two sides meet in this encounter with 0 points on the board eight rounds into the competition.

At least one of these sides is guaranteed to get their first points in the competition this season after their encounter suggesting this game to be a thrilling encounter with both sides guaranteed to throw everything, they can at their opposition for ninety minutes.

The last time these two sides met was in round 8 of the 2021 competition when the two sides could not be separated.

Revesby Workers have continued to struggle with defence this year as they continue to leak goals week on week.

However, they would have taken a lot of confidence out of last week’s competition as they were competitive against the 2022 champions up until the 90th minute when they conceded a last-minute winner.

Revesby Workers will be more then up for this match taking positive momentum from last week’s match and seeing this game as their best opportunity to get their first points of the season.

Bass Hill Rangers were close to getting their first points on the board last weekend as they fell just short to Padstow United in a 4-3 thriller.

Bass Hill Rangers have lacked the cutting edge in front of goal all season, however, they looked much improved in last weeks match as they scored 3-goals in the second half, and they will look to be strong in front of goal once again this week.

If Bass Hill are to get a much needed result this weekend, they will look for a faster start in the game and aim to get a goal early.

With everything to play for with both sides eager to put points on the board, expect both sides to give it their all.

Greenacre Eagles vs Padstow Hornets; Friday 28th April, 8:30PM @ Padstow Park                                                                                                                                        Previous Meeting: Greenacre Eagles 0-4 Padstow Hornets – Rd18, 2022

Greenacre Eagles suffered their first defeat in four matches last weekend while Padstow Hornets got back to winning ways with their last-minute winner over Revesby Workers.

Greenacre have looked strong in attack of late as they have scored ten goals in their last four matches.

Greenacre will be looking to improve on their start to their fixtures, so they are not needing to chase games as they have conceded first in their last three fixtures.

They will look to get on the front foot early in this match and continue their fantastic form in front of goal in this match.

Padstow Hornets secured their first win in the last four rounds in their match against Revesby Workers, however they would not have been happy with losing a 2-goal lead and needing a late winner against a struggling Revesby Workers side.

The last time these two sides met, Yagoona Lions scored four late goals to run over a struggling Central Sydney Wolves.

Central Sydney Wolves have struggled with consistent performances this season; however, they have won all their matches following a loss this season so they will be looking for the same outcome this week.

Central Sydney Wolves have not been great in front of goal this season, so they will be looking to put goals past Yagoona Lions struggling defence.

With a side not afraid to play football and dominate possession, Central Sydney Wolves will look to hold out a strong Yagoona Lions attack and take their chances in attack when they fall their way.

Yagoona Lions are unfamiliar territory as they have lost two of their past three games and were unable to score in last weekend’s match for the first time this season.

Panania Diggers have started to drift away from them at the top of the table, so they will look to turn their bad run of form around if they are to keep up with the competition leaders.

With a host of young talent who have proved themselves so far this season, they will be hoping to bounce back straight away and fight for those top two spots.

Look for both teams to fight until the end in this matchup as a crucial three points are on offer.

Padstow United vs Georges River Thistle; Saturday 29th April, 4PM @ Playford Park                                                                                                                                        Previous Meeting: Georges River Thistle 1-5 Padstow United – Rd17, 2022

Padstow United are four games unbeaten after their win over Bass Hill last weekend while Georges River Thistle got back to winning ways against Greenacre Eagles.

Padstow United are chasing their first back-to-back wins this season as they look to climb into the top 5 in the competition with a win over Georges River Thistle who sit 2-points above them.

If Padstow United can continue to finish their chances and be a lot more structured defence, they have every chance of winning this match.

Georges River Thistle are on a high after they returned to winning ways against Greenacre Eagles last Friday night.

They have won four of their bast five fixtures and are one of the form teams in the competition.

After last week’s result, a win against Padstow United would be the perfect follow-up to continue to climb the ladder and drift away from the bottom end of the competition.

Both teams will be hoping for victory for different reasons, which makes this matchup even more intriguing.

Panania Diggers vs Bankstown Sports Strikers; Saturday 29th April, 4PM @ Kelso South                                                                                                                                              Previous Meeting: Panania Diggers 2-3 Bankstown Sports Strikers – Rd3, 2022

Panania Diggers did it tough to remain undefeated with their win over Central Sydney Wolves last weekend while Bankstown Sports Strikers were strong in their win over Yagoona Lions.

In their previous meeting last season, Bankstown Sports Strikers narrowly defeated Panania Diggers 3-2.

Panania Diggers are the only side to be unbeaten through seven rounds and will look to continue their momentum against last year’s minor premiers.

They have the equal best defensive record with Bankstown Sports Strikers as they both have only conceded six goals and defence looks to be key in this fixture.

With Panania playing at home and looking to drift away at the top from another top side, they will be looking to dominate at home.

Bankstown Sports Strikers defeated Yagoona Lions 2-0 last weekend and defence was key as they held out one of the strongest attacking sides in the competition.

They have begun to hit form in recent weeks with back-to-back wins against two of the top four teams in the competition and another win here will give them a massive boost in confidence for the rest of the season.

Bankstown Sports Strikers will be looking to make a statement win against the top of the competition in this match.

Both sides will be hungry for goals but with strong defences on both teams, one moment could decide the outcome of this match.
