Previous Meeting: Revesby Workers 2-1 Panania Diggers – Round 21, 2022

Revesby Workers will be looking to find their first points of the season as they host Panania Diggers at Padstow Park.

These two sides met twice last year in the 2022 Competition with Panania taking the three points in round 21 and both sides splitting the points in a 1-1 draw in round 10.

Revesby Workers have had a rough start to the season, recently losing to Bankstown Sports Strikers 9-1 in round 2.

They have struggled defensively conceding 12 goals in their first 2 rounds, so they will be looking to improve their defensive shape and structure coming into round 3.

However, Revesby Workers young gun Ashtun Letele, has looked strong in front of goal scoring a goal in each of their 2 opening fixtures and the workers will be looking to him again to get on the scoresheet and help them to their first points of the season.

Panania Diggers come into this fixture as one of the in-form sides of the competition as they look for their third straight victory to start the season.

Panania Diggers picked up an impressive 3-points last week to Greenacre Eagles as they were able to score in the 86th minute of the game to win the game 1-0.

Panania Diggers have looked very impressive in the later stages of the match as all four of their goals in the opening two rounds have come in the last 20 minutes of their games.

Panania Diggers will hope to utilise their fitness and impact substitutions to their advantage against Revesby Workers to claim the three points.

This week’s match of the round looks to be a blockbuster that will go all way the way to the 90th minute.

Yagoona Lions will be looking to inform attacker, Jamie Bazevski who has a scored a brace in each of their 2 opening games.

Expect this match to be filled with attacking chances as both sides will be eager to pick up the three-points.

Previous Meeting: Padstow Hornets 5-1 Bass Hill Rangers – Round 3, 2021

The last time these sides met was in round 3 of the 2021 season as Padstow Hornets eased to a 5-1 victory.

Bass Hill are the second of four sides looking to pick up their first points of the season.

Bass Hill showed a lot of promise last week in their 3-2 loss to Yagoona Lions.

Bass Hill looked strong going forward as they were able to score twice in the match to have a 2-0 advantage. However, they will be looking to tighten up their defence and keep focused for the full 90 minutes after conceding 3 late goals to Yagoona lion’s last weekend.

If they can bring the same focus and determination that they had in the first 65 minutes last week they could go a long way to beating the 2022 champions.

Padstow Hornets showed their winning form last weekend after a strong 4-1 victory to Georges River Thistle.

Hornets’ attacker Mike Cklamovski scored a hattrick in last week’s win and the Hornets will hope to see his name on the score sheet again this weekend.

Hornets will see this fixture as a must win game for their team as they will be looking to push for minor premiership this year, and they will be taking some strong momentum into the game this weekend.

This will be another match with plenty of excitement, as Bass hill Rangers have the hunger to earn their first points while Padstow Hornets will work hard for all three points.

Central Sydney Wolves vs Georges River Thistle, 3pm @Lockwood Park

Greenacre Eagles vs Bankstown Sports Strikers, 7pm @ Allum Park

Previous Meeting: Greenacre Eagles 0-6 Bankstown Sports Strikers – Round 21, 2022

Greenacre Eagles are looking for their first points of the season as they host unbeaten Bankstown Sports Strikers in the last game of our Rd 3 BUPL Competition.

The last time these two teams played each other was in round 21 of the 2022 competition where Bankstown Sports Strikers stormed past Greenacre in a 6-0 win, a result Greenacre will be looking to make amends for this Saturday night.

Greenacre looked strong in their first game of the 2023 season after a 1-0 loss to a strong Panania Diggers side.

Greenacre created a lot of attacking opportunities but were unable to find the back of the net, something they will be looking to rectify this weekend.

One thing is for certain, with Greenacre playing at their home ground Allum Park for the first time this season, they will look to bring a lot grit and determination to find their first points of the season.

Bankstown Sports Strikers have started fast this season with back-to-back wins.

The strikers look to be an attacking force this season after scoring nine goals against Revesby Workers last weekend, with inform striker Robson De Souza scoring 5 of them. Someone they will look to in attack again this weekend.

Expect this to be an encounter with plenty of fight as the Eagles look to defend their home turf against a strong side in Bankstown Sports Strikers.
